Job Description Product Engineer required (Retail, EFT, Card Payments) for our client, an international market leader designing and delivering a range of innovative stored value/prepay card solutions including Gift Cards, Corporate and Insurance Claim Cards and Prepaid Debit Cards for major retailers. Working within the newly established Configuration & Consultancy Team, this role will take responsibility for the accurate, on-time set-up, configuration and second level support of client systems using our client's gift card and pre-paid debit card platforms. You will have the following skills: - An understanding of at least one mainstream SQL database and the ability to develop complex SQL queries and reports. - An appreciation for application software development, JAVA especially useful. You will have at least one year s experience working as a software developer or tester, DBA, or in IT Support or Operations. Of particular benefit is any experience in Retail POS or EPOS or EFT environments particularly software development or testing. Product Engineers work in partnership with Project Managers and Technical Consultants to configure systems to process Gift Card transactions for Retail Clients. In addition, they provide 2nd line support to the IT Operations Team for issues relating to application configuration.
